What type of phone line should be used with my OpenTAP compatible device?

We Strongly Recommend that you use a Standard Phone Line with NO Broadband or Fibre Optic Internet with your alarm system or other OpenTAP compatible software client used with a PC or server. The reason for this is that from our experience we find that these can cause all sorts of issues which we have no control over, as they can degrade the data call quality passed between the customer’s phone line and our TAP servers. This is not always the case, but for best results please use a standard phone line!
